Edelweiss Resort in Germany
The U.S. military has low-cost, well-appointed resorts in Hawaii, Florida, Virginia, Germany and Korea. The resorts have spas, health clubs, restaurants and are ideally situated in a variety of popular locations. The resorts are intended to provide family-oriented rest and recreation opportunities to service members, their families and other authorized people.
Instructions
1. Check the eligibility requirements for the resort of your choice to see if you qualify. Most resorts are available to active-duty and retired service members along with other civilian and foreign military personnel based on where they are stationed. Family members are also eligible, and an eligible party can sponsor rooms for non-eligible people based on the resort's requirements.
2. Go to the resort's website and make a reservation. You will have to provide the reason for your travel and other information to prove your eligibility.
3. Call the resort to make group reservations or to make any special accommodations, such as exceeding a room's occupancy limit.
4. Present your military ID or Department of Defense paperwork when you check in to prove your eligibility. If you are sponsoring non-military guests, you will have to check in with them.
