A photo invitation is popular for good reason. When people on a guest list receive an invitation created with an engaging photo, they are often interested in and eager to attend the event. If you are planning an event and it is time to send out the invitations, use a photo editing program to quickly and easily make your invitations using a digital photo.
Instructions
1. Open the photo editing program and create a foundational layer that is 4 by 6 inches.
2. Select a background color and fill in the foundational layer with this color.
3. Open your digital photograph and crop and resize it to approximately 4 by 4 inches. Paste the photo as a new layer over the foundation layer and move it to be aligned with the left or right side of the foundation layer.
4. Choose a font and font color for the text of the invitation. If the background color is light, choose a dark color; if the background color is dark, choose a light color. Experiment with the size of the font until it is large enough to be read easily.
5. Enter the text for the invitation. Include the occasion of the event; the date, time, and location; and the name(s) of the host(s). Position the text so it is located to the side of the picture.
6. Merge all layers and save the invitation by naming it and placing it onto your computer hard drive.
7. Print out the needed invitations with a color printer attached to your computer or transfer the file to a flash drive and take it to a printer for printing.
