Instructions
1. Open a new document in the word processing software available on your computer. Microsoft Word or Works are both good choices. Click "New" from the file menu at the top of the page and select "Template." Choose "Cards & Crafts" from the menu on the new page that pops up and select the card category you desire. Click on the card template you want to use and select "Use this Style" at the top of the page.
2. Type a title such as "You're Invited" or "Please Join Us" on the front of the invitation. Go to "Format" on the menu bar at the top of the page and select "Font" to change the font, style, color and size of the wording.
3. Type the event information on the inside page of the invitation. Include what or who the party is for, the date and time, and the location of the event.
4. Place paper or card stock into the printer as directed for the paper type. Plain paper works well, but card stock or photo paper provides a sturdier invitation.
5. Click on "File" from the menu bar at the top of the page and select "Print." Choose the printer you are using and how many copies you need, then select "Print".
6. Fold the printed invitations in halves or quarters, depending on the style you've chosen. Place them into individual envelopes and address them for mailing or handing out.
