One room that may be forgotten when it comes to Christmas decorations is the kitchen. If you will be spending a lot of time in your kitchen around the holidays, decorate it for Christmas and enjoy the festivities even more. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Start your decorating with some type of Christmas theme. You can go with Santas and reindeer, snowmen and snowflakes, Victorian-style decor, or even just red and green colors. Once you have a theme in mind, look for decorations.
2. Set the table with holiday place settings. You can leave the dishes out to be decorative. Set the dishes on top of colorful place mats for them to really stand out.
3. Buy or make a centerpiece for the middle of the table. This can be a Christmas floral arrangement or even a miniature Christmas tree.
4. Hang Christmas-themed dish towels on racks or hooks. You can usually find them with matching rugs for the floor and potholders for the counter.
5. Add Christmas ornaments to cabinet and door handles. Make sure they are not breakable.
6. Attach a ribbon to the top of a window, and let it hang to the center of the window. Hang an ornament from the end of the ribbon. You can use one wide ribbon or a few smaller ribbons with ornaments at the bottom of each one.
7. Place scented candles around the kitchen. Use scents like cinnamon, vanilla or pine. You can even find "Christmas"-scented candles at some stores.
