Convert A Trailer Into A Tiki Bar

Use a trailer to make a temporary tiki bar.

Tiki bars make you feel as though you've traveled down to the equator on a nice, tropical vacation in paradise, even if you're stuck in the great white north in the middle of winter. You can set up your own tiki bar using your trailer with a few simple supplies. Add some grass skirts, hula dancing and Caribbean music, and you'll have yourself a tropical oasis. The best part is, you can easily disassemble the tiki bar when you need to use your trailer again.

Instructions

1. Position the trailer on level ground and make sure it is in a sturdy enough position to allow you to stand, walk around and do some work on without risking any type of injury.

2. Set the table and the stools on the trailer. Place one stool toward the inside for the bartender to use, and place two or more toward the outside for your guests to use while they order and enjoy their drinks. Play around with the positions until you find what works best with your size of trailer and the size of the table.

3. Decorate the table. Use the bamboo to cover the posts of the table if they aren't wooden, and use the straw or thatching as a decoration around the edges to give it a more Caribbean feel. Use wood glue or nails to keep the bamboo in place, and if you don't want the straw moving around, use glue for that as well. If you like, cover the floor of the trailer with straw or sand as well.

4. Place the alcohol, juice and glasses behind the bar (table) for the bartender to use during the party as guests come up to order drinks from him.

5. Create an optional canopy over the top of the table by using your bamboo and straw. Use the bamboo to create the bases of the canopy on the four corners of the table, either by gluing or nailing them into place. At the top, connect the four corner pieces of bamboo together with other bamboo stalks, and create a roof by placing the straw over the top of it all.
