Create 3 X 5 Index Cards In Word

Create 3 X 5 Index Cards in Word

Although Microsoft Word is set up to handle a number of preset paper sizes, Word can also handle a wide range of custom paper sizes, from huge banners to small, 3 x 5 index cards. Although designing index cards in Word will take a bit of fiddling with the program's settings, even a novice to the program should be set to go in no time.

Instructions

1. Launch Microsoft Word, and create a blank document.

2. Open the "File" menu in the upper left-hand and click "Page setup..." to open the Page Setup window.

3. Click the "Paper" tab. Change the width to 3 inches and the height to 5 inches.

4. Click the "Margins" tab. Change the page margins if you would like more space on your index card. The default margins are usually between 1 inch and 1.25 inches, which will probably be too large for such a small document.

5. Enter the text or images that you would like to appear on your index card.
