Address Graduation Invitations

Proud graduates ask close friends and family to attend graduation ceremonies.


Graduation invitations and graduation announcements differ by intent. Send graduation announcements to everyone whom you want to boast to about the graduate's success. Mail graduation invitations to those whom you want to attend the graduation ceremony.


Instructions


1. Send graduation invitations with sufficient lead time. Mail your invitations four-to-six weeks before commencement exercises. Give guests time to make travel plans. Allow for RSVP time as well. Request invitees to respond no later than two weeks before the event.


2. Provide invited guests with a convenient way to accept or decline your graduation invitation. Include RSVP cards with your return address included and with prepaid postage.


3. Extend the invitation. Write, for example,

RSVP by May 5


4. Write your guests' addresses by hand on the mailing envelope. Place the name(s) of each person you hope will attend on the mailing envelope, recommends the graduation website, Graduation Invitations & Graduation Party Ideas. If children will attend with parents, write their names on the envelopes.


5. Address graduation invitation mailing envelopes using complete words. Write, for example,
