Walt Disney World decided several years ago to keep their guests on site instead of the guests going off Disney property for accommodations. The Walt Disney Company recognized the varying financial considerations of their guests and has sought to make a Disney vacation affordable for all.
Instructions
1. Make a budget. There are many hotels near Magic Kingdom and many price variations. Choosing a budget can eliminate some of the choices.
2. Decide how close you want to be to the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom sits apart from parking and the hotels. There are no hotels within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom can be accessed by boat or monorail.
3. Decide which type of transportation suits your needs. The Polynesian hotel is connected to the Magic Kingdom by a smaller, quicker boat than the fairy to the general public parking area. Many times the lines to the resort's boat are shorter allowing for quicker exit and entrance. The monorail goes directly to the Contemporary, but many people from the general parking areas use the monorail, too, adding extra congestion.
4. Decide what other amenities you want in a resort. Think about whether you want water sports or a pool. The Yacht club and Beach Club have a fun pool with sand, but it is a little farther away and not directly on the monorail.
5. Decide whether you want to be located near other Disney Parks, as well. One resort may allow easy travel to Magic Kingdom, but not Animal Kingdom, so decide what else you want out of a Disney vacation.
6. Make reservations ahead of time and enjoy. All the resorts will treat you like a prince and princess.
