Many Hawaii water slides provide great views of the nearby ocean.
Once a rare commodity, hotels that feature waterslides in Hawaii are becoming more common each year as luxury resorts compete for tourists. Some resorts have extensive water park areas with slides connecting various pools in the complex. To access the waterslides, most hotels require that you register and wear a wristband while in the pool.
Oahu
The Hilton Hawaiian Village on had the first waterslide in Oahu's Waikiki, and now has four slides that include a 77-foot lava tube slide. The pool complex covers 1,000 square feet and includes two heated spas and three waterfalls.
Waikiki's famous Turtle Bay Resort underwent a 35 million-dollar restoration in 2010 that included major upgrades to the pool, which now includes a 80-foot water slide, two heated outdoor pools as well as two Jacuzzis.
Maui
The Grand Wailea Resort on the south shore of Maui, in the upscale town of Wailea, has a spectacular water park that covers 2,500 square feet and has six slides and four waterfalls. Simulated rock grottoes hold swim-up refreshment bars. The complex has winding paths that cross swinging rope bridges and Tarzan swings that make getting from one pool to another a blast.
The Kaanapali Westin Maui Resort And Spa on the east shore has a 87,000 square-foot pool complex with five free-form heated pools that are all connected with swim-through grottoes. The complex includes a 128-foot-long waterslide and numerous waterfalls.
The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa on the eastern coast in Kaanapali has an extensive water playground surrounding its pools with a slide, simulated waterfalls and a rope bridge.
Big Island
Hilton Waikoloa Village on the south shore of the Big Island of Hawaii on Waikoloa Beach Drive features a system of four swimming pools connected by waterslides and includes a 175-foot spiral water slide. The swim-under waterfalls dump into the Kona pool, and the luxurious Ocean Tower pool is for adults only.
The Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort in Kailu-Kona offers a multi-level fantasy pool that includes the Manta Ray Super Slide--the island's largest water slide--that dumps into a fresh water-pool. There is a small man-made beach, children's play area and whirlpool spas located in the center of the resort near the pool area.
Kauai
On the eastern shore of Kauai, the Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort features a lagoon-like pool system with double waterslides that both dump into the largest pool. The complex also features a whirlpool spa and a children's pool with a sandy bottom.
In Koloa, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort has five acres of both fresh and saltwater swimming pools modeled after a Byzantine lagoon complete with waterslides and waterfalls.
