Make A Hawaiian Foam Flower Hair Clip

Hawaiian foam flower hair clips are bright and pretty.

Hawaiian foam flowers are attractive synthetic flowers often used to create bouquets and embellishments for a variety of crafts. If you'd like a hair clip that features a Hawaiian foam flower, you can search online for various premade versions or make your own. Creating the hair clip isn't nearly as intimidating as it sounds, and it will allow you to save money as well as customize exactly which flower you wish to use for the clip.

Instructions

1. Apply a dot of hot glue about 1/2 inch away from the tip of a long metal hair clip.

2. Press a Hawaiian foam flower in the color and style of your choice over the hot glue. Press the center down using a small wooden dowel to avoid burns.

3. Apply another dot of hot glue on either side of the metal hair clip. Press a synthetic leaf over the glue, again using the wooden dowel to avoid burning yourself.

4. Cover the entire exposed top surface of the metal hair clip with more synthetic leaves, arranging them around the flower in overlapping rows.

5. Allow the clip to dry completely, and snip away stray wisps of hot glue using a pair of scissors.
