Create a Baby Shower Invitation

It is simple to make an adorable baby shower invitation to entice guests to the party. During certain times of the year, the invitations seem to multiply and it is important to make yours memorable. You want as many guests as possible to comet to the baby shower, because the expecting mom needs a lot of gear for the new baby. When a woman is going to be a mom for the first time, take extra care to make the invitation as attractive as possible. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Find a simple baby image, including an outline of a baby face. The image can be a baby face, a rattle,or a cute animal including a duck, a giraffe, a bear or a turtle. Find images at Hellas Multimedia Clip Art Guide websites. See the Resources section for a link. Trace an image from a child's coloring book or a used baby shower card. Make the image big enough to be used as a card. You can enlarge a photo using the Shrink Pictures website.

2. Print out the image on a piece of card stock. If you do not have printer, draw a simple outline of a baby face. Cut out the image and use this as a stencil. Trace the outline onto pieces of Vellum paper or any other fancy paper. Also trace the image onto a piece of card stock. You will need one Vellum cut-out and one card stock cut-out per invitation.

3. Draw a couple of details onto the Vellum using the metallic pens. For the baby face, draw some eyes, nose and a mouth. For an animal, also draw in a simple face.

4. Punch a hole in the top of the Vellum and the card stock using the hole punch. Thread the ribbon through both holes, making a large loop. Tie a knot in the end of the ribbon. Tie a small bow on top of the ribbon, to hide the knot. Use the same ribbon, or add a piece of another ribbon.

5. Tell the guests who the baby shower is for, when the baby shower is taking place, including the day, date and time. Add the location and the address. Request that baby shower guests RSVP by a certain date to help you plan the menu requirements. Add a printed wish list and the location of the baby registry.
