Fill Out A Baby Shower Invitation

Filling out baby shower invitations is an easy process.

Baby showers are the traditional way to celebrate new life in the world. A baby shower is a celebration where friends and family of the mom-to-be give gifts to the mother that the mother needs in order to care for the new baby. Sending out invitations to a baby shower can be a fun and exciting process, but it can also leave a lot to worry about. Filling out a baby shower invitation takes time and consideration to detail.

Instructions

1. Write the newborn's name on the "Of" line. Usually, this line will read, "Let's Celebrate the Birth Of" and you fill in the name of the child. Use this line to let everyone you invite know the name and the gender of your bundle of joy.

2. Write the mom-to-be's name on the "For" line. Usually, this line will read, "You're Invited to a Baby Shower For" and you write in the name of the mother-to-be.

3. Fill out the "Time" line with the time that the baby shower will take place. Be sure to consider a time when you know people will be able to attend your baby shower. Choosing a morning or an evening might not be the best bet, since most people are working during those times. Your best bet is to have it on a weekend in the early afternoon.

4. Fill out the "Place" line with the location of the baby shower. You can usually rent a hall or use a church's recreation hall to hold your baby shower. Some people even use their own homes to host baby showers. Whatever place you choose, be sure it is a location that is easily accessible; you might also consider choosing a location that is familiar to most people (if you live in a small town).

5. Fill out the "R.S.V.P." line with the name of the person that is taking down the names of the people who are definitely attending. This might be the sister or mother of the mom-to-be, and the name, address and telephone number of this person should be listed on the invitation to give people that might want to attend a way to contact you. This is a good way to find out how many people are attending and to plan for the amount of food, drinks and party favors to shop for.
