1. Get inspired by looking at pictures of rock stars with great personal style. Note any looks that are easily achievable, no matter what the budget may be.
2. Find a great pair of sunglasses, the darker, the better. No rock star would be caught dead out in public without their shades. A square face looks best in round glasses, a round face is flattered by a square or rectangular frame and an oval face can carry off any style.
3. Purchase a great pair of jeans or get that perfect pair out of the closet. As a general rule, rock stars wear darker clothing, so no faded jeans for this look. However, torn knees are okay and form-fitting is the rule.
4. Grab an old black T-shirt for a classic look. Vintage band tees are another great alternative. In cooler weather, a leather jacket is a nice addition.
5. Step into some cool shoes. Rock star shoes can vary from old army boots to Doc Martens to skate shoes such as Vans.
6. Accessorize the look with jewelry and belts. Nothing frilly here, go for studded bracelets and belts or leather wrist cuffs. Magnetic earrings give the look of piercing without the permanence.
