2. Candy bar wrappers are very cheap party favors and are very beautiful. You can make these by using various software programs such as Microsoft Publisher and incorporating pictures from a program such as Roxio, Microsoft Clipart, among others. Or, if you’re not the creative type, you can order pr-emade candy bar wrappers online. Wrappers are becoming are very popular party favors because they are so cheap, pretty, and easy. Candy bar wrappers work great for both adult and child birthday parties. They make wonderful party favors because they are cheap and normally cost around 60 to 85 cents. The candy bar typically costs around 50 to 65 cents and if you buy them in bulk you can get them even cheaper.
3. Visit your local party supply store and perusing the aisles to see what they have. A lot of times you can find inexpensive party items such as candy, cellophane bags and curling ribbon and make your own party favors this way. Personalize the bags by buying a rubber "Thank You" stamp and attaching a small thank you note to the bags. Believe it not, adults go crazy over these! Miniature truffles work best for adults, and fruity candy works best for a child's party. You can make these bags look very elegant when they only cost a few dollars.

Coloring books, crayons and bubbles also make great favors for a child's birthday party.
5. Shop for party favors well in advance of a birthday party. If the birthday takes places in the summer, shop for party favors when your local store is placing all of their summer items on clearance. Another good party favor is baking cookies, decorating them, and handing them out to guests as they walk out the door. These work well for both adult and children’s parties. Don't forget to check out warehouse stores, but they often require that you have a membership. Often, you can find candies, cookies and items of the like that make excellent party favors and are relatively inexpensive.
