Find Lds Wards

Worldwide, there are more than 28,000 wards and branches (local groupings) in the Mormon church.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon or LDS church, has 28,424 wards and branches (local groupings) throughout the world, as of December 31, 2009. Members of the Church may want to find a different ward when traveling or when moving to another city. The official website of the Church has a search tool that assists in finding a ward anywhere in the world.

Instructions

1. Go to lds.org and click on "About the Church" on the main menu. This causes another menu to appear to the right.

2. Select "Find a Meetinghouse" from the right-side menu. This brings up another web page.

3. Enter your address and click "Search." This will bring up a list of the closest meetinghouses and the assigned wards. If you have moved to a new area and are looking for your assigned ward, search under the second category. In areas with a high LDS population, there may be more than one choice, labeled with different kinds of wards. For example, YSA means Young Single Adult ward, which you would attend if you were a single adult between the ages of 18 and 30. An unlabeled ward signifies a regular family ward.
