Include images of beer bottles on the 21st birthday invitation.
A 21st birthday is a rite of passage for many young adults. In many cases, the most significant part of this birthday is that the birthday celebrant can legally consume alcohol. Therefore, many 21st birthday parties revolve around this adult milestone. Whether you're hosting a cocktail party for the new 21-year-old or a casual dinner out with friends, you can design a festive invitation that gets guests excited to celebrate the occasion. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Use colors that the guest of honor likes for the 21st birthday invitation. If she's a fan of hot pink, select some hot pink card stock to use for your invitation.
2. Open a new document in your word-processing program. Set the page size to 4 inches by 6 inches.
3. Insert images into the invitation. You don't want the images to distract from the text, so choose one or two simple, thematic images. You can left justify a digital image of the birthday boy or girl or include a small clip art image of a martini glass or beer bottle in each corner.
4. Type the headline for your event. Here, you want to make it clear to guests what the event is all about. You can use terminology that ties in the 21st birthday theme. For example, your invitation headline can read, "Let's toast to Kelly's 21st birthday!" or "Cheers! Kelly is 21!"
5. Type the basic information for the 21st birthday party, including the date, time, location and RSVP information. List each item on its own line.
6. Print a copy of your invitation on scrap paper. Proofread it to make sure there are no typos, and adjust any formatting errors. Then, print enough copies on card stock for every guest that you plan to invite.
7. Cut the card stock with scissors so that there is a 1-inch border around the text. Then, decorate the card stock as you see fit. If the birthday girl loves polka dots, punch two holes at the top of the invitation, loop a ribbon through the holes and tie them in a bow. If she loves all things that sparkle, include a silver sequin in each corner to add a little glitz to her 21st birthday invitation.
