Instructions
1. Choose a free, printable card website to use in making your invitations. Invitationland, Magical Kingdom and Hewlett Packard Creative Studio all offer free printable invitations.
2. Select the invitation category appropriate for your purposes. Most sites offer invitations for birthday parties, graduations, season gatherings and weddings.
3. Pick the design that best suits the theme of your party. While a palm tree is perfect for a summer luau, birthday balloons are perfect for your child's first birthday party.
4. Type in custom information such as the name of the party, contact information, location and time.
5. Proofread your card for errors and ask another person to read it over once more. Correct any mistakes, as necessary.
6. Print the invitations as instructed by the website you are using. Some sites allow you to print directly from the web, while others instruct you to save your card as a PDF file prior to printing.
7. Stuff your invitations into your envelopes, address them, stamp them and put them in the mail. Remember to give your guests at least two weeks notice of your party so that they have time to plan to attend.
