Customize An Invitation Card

Customizing an invitation card can provide a unique look for your event.


If you are planning a party and would like to create customized invitations to set them apart from store-bought cards, adding small decorative touches to your handmade cards will achieve this. A customized invitation card does not necessarily need to be expensive and there are many inexpensive touches you can add to your card to make it memorable and stand out. A customized invitation can help set the theme for your particular event.


Instructions


1. Purchase blank cards and envelopes in colors that coordinate with the party decorations or match the tone of the festivities. For example, bright colors for a child's birthday party or pastel shades for a baby shower. Invitation cards and envelopes can be found at a party decoration retailers or arts and crafts stores.


2. Find embellishments that coordinate with the overall theme of the party. For example, if you are hosting a child's birthday party, decorate the front of the card with a birthday cake cut out or a sticker of balloons. These embellishments can be found at an arts and crafts store.


3. Ensure the embellishments or decorative elements on the customized invitations reflect the style and tone of the event.


4. Add text details, such as time, date, location and RSVP information, to the card. For example, if the invitation is for a bridal shower also include where the bride and groom are registered for gifts.


5. Include an eye-catching touch, such as themed sticker, rubber sticker or decorative seal on the outside of the envelope.
