Design Bottled Water Labels

Design Bottled Water Labels

Everyone is drinking bottled water these days, and it's in vogue to have exotic water from Fiji or other foreign countries. Some news articles have suggested that these waters are no better than what comes out of the tap, though, so to spruce up your tap water, make some inexpensive and easy labels at home and put them on your spent water bottles. You'll save money and still look cool, drinking your own tap water disguised as something exotic.

Instructions

1. Look through your image files and find a photo or graphic you want to use. There are also several Internet sites that offer free images.

2. Open Photoshop or a similar program and open your chosen image. Use the letter tool to create a name for your water, such as Hawaiian Mist. Experiment with different font sizes and colors.

3. Save your completed design as a .jpg and open Microsoft Word.

4. In the the drop-down menu under "Tools," go to "Letters and Mailings" then to "Envelopes and Labels." Find the appropriate template for the labels you have and click "New Document."

5. Place the cursor in one of the label fields, go to the drop-down menu and select "Insert." Go to "Picture," then find your project file and open it. It will appear in the box. You can adjust the size and dimensions of the image by clicking on the edge of the field box, holding down the left mouse button and dragging the sides of the image.

6. Copy and paste into the remaining boxes and you are ready to print.
