Make A Rum Sour Cocktail

A rum sour is a simple, easy-to-make drink that is quite refreshing and satisfying, especially in the hot summer months. A rum sour will almost instantly make you feel like you are on vacation in the Caribbean islands with its tropical, smooth flavor. This recipe makes two rum sours, though you can easily double the recipe. You can even make pitchers of rum sours before a large party, which can be helpful if you are going to be busy with food or making more complicated drinks. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Fill a cocktail shaker half-full with crushed ice. Add the gold rum, freshly-squeezed lime juice and caster sugar to the cocktail shaker.

2. Cover the cocktail shaker with your hand or the top supplied with the shaker. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.

3. Strain the drinks into two short cocktail glasses filled with ice cubes. Garnish each drink with a slice of lime and a maraschino cherry.
