A Picture To A Gmail Account

If you are one of the many who have switched to Gmail, you may be overwhelmed by the many features Gmail offers. Once you are comfortable using the basics, you are bound to want to personalize your account. Expand your Gmail education and learn out add a personalized picture to your Gmail account.


Instructions


1. Sign into your Gmail account by entering your user name and password on the Gmail home page.


2. Choose the "Settings" link that appears in the top right portion of your browser's window.


3. Locate the section titled "My pictures" and click on its link.


4. Choose the "Select a picture" option. An "Upload picture" dialog box appears.


5. Select "Browse" and then choose an image file from your computer. The image doesn't have to be of you, pick a cartoon, graphic or even a picture of the Pope. Choose "Open."


6. Choose "Upload picture." A cropping tool appears. This allows you to crop the picture any way you want.


7. Select who you would like to see your picture. Select "Visible to all Gmail users" to allow anyone you email or anyone who emails you to view your picture. Select "Visible to only people I chat with" to choose who you allow to see your picture.


8. Choose "Save." Your picture is now posted to your Gmail account.
