Disney's Grand Floridian


The Grand Floridian is a classic Disney resort experience. Located on the beach near Disney's Magic Kingdom theme park. Enjoy the indoor shopping or spa experiences the hotel has to offer, or venture outside for its beach on the Seven Seas Lagoon or its two pool options. Meals start at approximately $15 per person on average, and transportation includes a monorail trip to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot parks. The Grand Floridian is a deluxe level resort, so room rates range from approximately $400-$2,000.

Disney's Polynesian Resort


Step into the tropical world of Disney's Polynesian resort, a Caribbean-themed getaway featuring indoor shopping, luau dining options, and tiki hut-style accommodations. The Polynesian is located across the lagoon from the Grand Floridian, and also features a stop by the monorail. It includes options for swimming, water slides, fishing, boating, water-skiing and parasailing. Room rates are in the deluxe category, priced at upwards of $365.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort


Disney's Fort Wilderness features cabins for approximately $270 per night or campsites for $45 per night and up. The Fort Wilderness cabins are considered a moderate-level accommodation, and they feature separate living, eating and sleeping quarters. The bedroom has a double bed and a set of bunk beds, and the living room also has a pull-out double bed. Guests can park curbside near their cabins and then use Disney transportation to ferry across the lagoon to the Epcot or Magic Kingdom theme parks. Fort Wilderness offers a nightly sing-along around a campfire with Chip n' Dale, followed by an outdoor screening of a classic Disney film. The resort also has dining options, or guests can cook inside their cabins.

Disney's Port Orleans Resorts


Disney has two Port Orleans themed resorts: French Quarter and Riverside. The French Quarter resort theme was based on the New Orleans district of the same name. It features outdoor-entry hotel rooms and a pool with a water slide shaped like a giant sea serpent. The French Quarter resort has a dining hall option as well as two smaller lounge restaurants.


The Riverside resort has rooms with two distinctive themes: Magnolia Bend mansions and the cottages of Alligator Bayou. It also has a dining hall and two small lounges, but also a sit-down restaurant option. Its Ol' Man Island complex features playground equipment, a pool and a catch-and-release fishing pond.


Rooms at both of these resorts start at $149 per month, at the moderate level.

Disney's Pop Century Resort


Disney's Pop Century resort features decor themes based on the popular culture of the American past. Stay in a hotel with a theme based on the 1950s, '60s, '70s, '80s or '90s. The hotel's dining options are a food court and a lounge, as well as in-room pizza delivery options. The hotel has three pools; one with a 1960s hippie theme, one with a bowling theme and one with a computer monitor theme. The hotel decor outside includes giant cellular phones, laptop computers, and even statues of Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head. The Pop Century is considered a value resort; its transportation options involve free bus stops to the Disney Parks and its room rates start at $82 per night.

Disney's All Star Resorts


Disney has three value resort options with an all-star theme: Disney's All Star Sports, All Star Music, and All Star Movies resorts. As value resorts, they feature room rates starting at $82 per night and are located near Disney's Animal Kingdom area. They all feature a dining hall, in-room pizza delivery, two themed swimming pools and a video arcade.


The All Star Sports hotel has rooms themed after popular sports, including football, basketball and surfing.


The All Star Music resort features standard hotel rooms as well as family suites, which offer accommodations for up to six people starting at $184 per night. Its rooms are themed after musical varieties including Broadway hits and Country Fair.


The All Star Movies hotel features giant icons that pay homage to five of Disney's classic films, including "Toy Story" and "The Mighty Ducks." Each hotel room group is featured after one of the five films as well. The other three films are "Fantasia," "The Love Bug" and "One Hundred and One Dalmatians."
