Honokawai Beach Park is on the western coastline of Hawaii's Maui Island, and offers opportunities for snorkeling and surfing in the Pacific Ocean. This park is within 10 minutes of oceanfront condominium hotels in Lahaina. Most of these hotels offer views of the Pacific from private lanais -- the Hawaiian term for balconies. The area's West Maui Forest Reserve is a large recreation area with hiking trails and campgrounds.
