Kaneohe, Hawaii is on the northern shore of Oahu, and is noted for being the home of Hawaii's Marine Corps Base. Non-military personnel can also enjoy the sites and activities in Kaneohe, which include surfing and sailing in Kaneohe Bay. Walking paths and manicured gardens are at Kaneohe's Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden. Not many hotels are in this coastal city, but the Hawaiian capitol, Honolulu, has hotels less than 30 minutes from Kaneohe.
Schrader's Windward Country Inn
The Windward Country Inn is in northern Kaneohe, in a secluded location on Kaneohe Bay. The Pacific Ocean can be seen from all of the studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom rooms. Ilikai Hotel and Suites
The Ilikai Hotel is less than 30 minutes from Kaneohe, in Waikiki. This hotel offers 30 floors of guest rooms with views of the Pacific Ocean and Kapiolani Park, which is 10 minutes from the hotel. Kapiolani Park is at the eastern end of Waikiki Beach, and features wildlife exhibits at the Honolulu Zoo, orchestral music at the Waikiki Shell and surfing at Sans Souci State Recreational Park. Off-site dining in Waikiki is within walking distance of the hotel on Ala Moana Boulevard.
The hotel also offers a private beach, and Sarento and Ilikai's Bar and Grill. Sarento provides Italian cuisine for dinner, and Ilikai's offers international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel also provides an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and limousine transportation service. A stop for the Waikiki trolley transit rail is at the front of the hotel.
