Instructions
1. Create a topic for your invitation. On the first line of the invitation, say "We have a new home!"
2. Invite the guest. On the second line, write "You are invited to a housewarming party for _________." This will indicate to the guest that this is a party instead of just a notification of a new address.
3. Identify members of the announcement. Write the first names of each individual family member followed by the last name for the last person listed. Instead of listing individual family members, you may consider writing the name of the family.
4. Add the party date and time. Write out the date and time of the party. Be sure to include a start and end time.
5. Identify the location of the new home and the party. On the next line, write the street address of the house. If it is an apartment or has a unit number, write the number on the next line. Write the name of the city, state and zip code on the next line.
6. Identify the type of housewarming party you are hosting. In this sentence, you will let the guest know if there will be a meal or appetizers at the party. Write "Please join us for dinner on [date] at [time]." If you want to serve appetizers, change the wording. Be sure you provide a date and time for the housewarming party to take place.
7. Provide a phone number for people to call to let you know they will attend. On the next line, write "Please call to let us know you are coming - [phone number]." Even if people do not call, be sure to call everyone on your guest list to find out if they will be attending or not. This will take lots of stress away from you when trying to plan on how much food to serve at your housewarming party.
