Enjoy Hawaii's famous beaches while staying at a hotel near Hickam Air Force Base.
Hickam Air Force Base is located about 3 miles from Honolulu International Airport, and visitors will find many nearby hotels. While on the island, visit the world-famous Waikiki Beach and World War II landmark Pearl Harbor. You can visit a smaller town such as Kailua to visit less crowded parts of the island. On the base itself, you can see where ammunition from the attack permanently marked buildings.

The Best Western's Plaza Hotel, located less than 3 miles away from Hickam Air Force Base, offers 274 rooms, each featuring conveniences such as microwaves, refrigerators and free wireless Internet access. Guests will enjoy complimentary shuttle service to the nearby airport, an outdoor pool, same-day dry cleaning service and an on-site restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. Other nearby restaurants include a sandwich shop, cafe, and Hawaiian barbecue. While in town, visit the only United States palace, the nearby Lolani Palace, and the Pearl Harbor Memorial.

The Pacific Marina Inn features a sun deck and swimming pool, on-site restaurant, cocktail lounge and free parking. Guests can also use the free airport shuttle. Hang out at the Keehi Lagoon Beach Park behind the hotel, which isn't good for swimming or sunbathing, but does feature areas for running, playing tennis and other sports. Also close by, visit the Sand Island Beach Park, which offers limited swimming, but ample space for picnics. Eat at the on-site Lance's Kitchen Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on most days. The lobby's Canoe Hut Lodge serves alcoholic drinks and appetizers.
