Kurtistown is a small populated area in Hawaii County on the main island of Hawaii. It consists of exclusively residential buildings with two schools, but no local businesses or hotels. For somewhere to stay while visiting the area, plenty of hotels and resorts can be found nearby to the east in Hilo or along the coast.

The Dolphin Bay hotel is just over 11 miles from Kurtistown near downtown Hilo. It is a small inexpensive hotel providing clean, comfortable and basic accommodations. This hotel does not have extra guest amenities but is located near many of the island's main attractions.
