Boil Italian Sausage

Combining sausage with sauce or other ingredients infuses the flavor of the pork.

Italian sweet or spicy sausage is typically saut ed in olive oil and herbs such as garlic or grilled before topping a plate or sandwich. Boiling sausage is a Polish culinary tradition, commonly implemented when cooking kielbasa sausage. You can merge Polish and Italian influences by saut ing Italian sausage in a skillet prior to boiling it in tomato sauce or can boil the sausage with other ingredients in a pot of water to create a southern-style boil. The sausage retains its juices and stays moist while boiling in liquid, creating a soft consistency. Add this to my Recipe Box.
