Color Nails With Tissue Paper

Color Nails With Tissue Paper

Typically when applying nail polish to the nail there are four coats of polish that need to dry. First is the base coat, plus two coats of colored polish, and finally the addition of a top coat. Not everyone is successful at allowing all of that paint to dry before smudging it. Instead of applying colored polish to your nails, use tissue paper. There is a lot less drying time and the results are similar to polish. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Decide which color tissue paper you would like to use for your nails. Mix and match or just use one color exclusively. One sheet is good for many applications.

2. Cut a piece of the tissue paper that is approximately the size and shape of the nail. The cut does not have to be exact, just close enough to the size that it can be formed to the nail without much overhang.

3. Place a thin layer of top coat over the nail, and quickly apply the piece of tissue paper that you just cut. The top coat dries fast, so do this step in one quick swoop. Press the tissue paper firmly against the nail and smooth with your finger.

4. Smooth the edges of the tissue paper against the nail with your orange wood stick. Do this gently. Any pieces that are overhanging the cuticle and bottom of the nail should take the shape of the nail very easily. If there is too much excess tissue paper at the bottom of the nail tip, cut it off with scissors.

5. Apply another coat of top coat, and allow it to dry. Once again this will dry relatively quickly, so there is virtually no wait time in between doing individual nails. Continue the process until all nails are done.
