If your child wants a High School Musical party and you would like to save some money on the invitations, you can create and print your own High School Musical birthday party invitations at home. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Gather Information

1. Download a template, which will help guide your design so that the invitation can be easily designed and folded. LCIPaper.com has several blank, foldable invitation templates for free download.

2. Save a few digital High School Musical photos to your computer. There are plenty of websites with High School Musical photos available, such as TV Guide and Star Pulse. To copy a photo, right-click on the image and choose "Save Image As" from the menu that appears, select the folder where you want the images to save on the hard drive and name the image something that will help you easily distinguish it from the others.

3. Find quotes from the movie to integrate into the text of the invitation. Popular High School Musical movie quotations can be found on the Internet Movie Database's High School Musical quote page.

Make the Invitation

4. Open the invitation template in Microsoft Word. Each template consists of place markers for images and text.

5. Replace image markers on the invitation template with the High School Musical photos you have saved to your computer. To replace the image, right-click on the place marker and select the replace image option, then select one of the photos you have saved to your hard drive.

6. Use a red and white design scheme in the invitations, such as white paper with red writing. Red and white are the school colors of East High School, the high school in the High School Musical movies. To change black text to red, highlight the text, click the "A" button on the toolbar and select red from the color options.

7. Type in all necessary party information, such as the date, time and place of the party. Each template already includes a place for these items.

8. Print the invitations on cardstock, which will hold up more effectively than standard paper, and use a color printer so that the images will print in color. Fold the invitations according to the template and they are ready to be sent or handed out.
