Scroll through the Publisher flier templates; any flier may be completely customized with text and images. Double-click a flier to open the document in the Publisher workspace.

2. Click your cursor into the main headline on the flier; the headline becomes highlighted. Type your new headline directly over the top of it, such as "Mom and Dad's Anniversary Party!" Click into the other text boxes on the flier and type information about the party, such as the event theme, location, date and respond.

3. Click once on a picture on the flier and press the "Delete" key on the keyboard. Click the "Insert" tab at the top of the screen and click the "Clip Art" button. Type a description into the "Search for" box, such as "balloons," "gifts," "cake" or "party" and click "Go." Scroll through the results and double-click an image to add it to the flier. Repeat to add more images.

4. Click the "Page Design" tab at the top of the screen. Click the "Background" button on the right of the toolbar and click a small colored square to give your flier a colored background. Skip this step if you're printing the fliers on colored paper.

5. Click the "File" tab, click "Save As," type a name for the flier and save it to your computer.
