Create A Boiled Seafood Party Invitation

A boiled seafood party is typically held in a backyard or at the beach, during the summer and spring months. Food is a main focus, with various types of seafood served. Bonfires and fireside chats with party guests are also popular. You can set the theme of your party and beckon guests by creating your own boiled seafood party invitation.

Instructions

1. Choose a design layout that incorporates images related to your boiled seafood party, such as lobsters and clams in a boiling pot, a bonfire, or a lobster bib. Review websites such as InvitationLand.com and AmericanGreetings.com for inspiration, and to download free templates.

2. Pick invitation paper. Choose pre-cut or uncut card stock, or cut scrapbook paper to the size you want.

3. Download design, and use a word processing program or desktop publishing software to customize the font, text, color and other formatting.

4. Do a test print by cutting a plain sheet of paper to the dimensions of your invitation and printing your design on it. Make any adjustments needed until it prints correctly.

5. Print invitations, feeding paper into the printer one piece at a time. Allow the ink to dry completely before you stuff the mailing envelopes.

6. Add a more festive look and feel by sprinkling lobster-shaped confetti in the mailing envelopes.
