Make A Guava Martini

Make a Guava Martini

A guava martini is a fresh, exciting take on the classic martini. Usually prepared with gin and vermouth, this martini uses vodka and fruit juice, eschewing the use of vermouth altogether. This martini can even be served on the rocks if you prefer, although it can barely be called a martini at that point. Truly a fusion drink, guava martinis are not for purists, but that doesn't make them any less refreshing and delicious. This recipe makes one guava martini. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Fill a cocktail shaker half-full with ice cubes. Add 3 oz. of vodka, 3 oz. of guava nectar, 1/4 tsp. of lemon juice and 1/4 tsp. of Rose's lime juice.

2. Cover the shaker and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. You do not have to worry about bruising vodka, only gin.

3. Strain the guava martini into a chilled martini glass. Garnish the glass with a lemon wheel and serve immediately while very cold.
