Collect Bobbsey Twins Books

Edward Stratemeyer was responsible for many children's book series throughout the 20th century. And while he didn't pen all of them and frequently farmed assignments out to ghost writers, one of his very first brain children was his most successful, the Bobbsey Twins. There are close to 100 volumes dating back to 1904. Here's collect the Bobbsey Twins books.

Instructions

1. Go to bookstores in your area or online. Amazon, alibris.com and Borders have extensive inventories of books. You will not be able to find all 100 volumes here, but merely the books post 1980 when the last series was revived. Also, while this may be the quickest way to collect these books, it will also be the most expensive as these sites and stores are still charging close to retail.

2. Advertise on community websites. Rather than searching everywhere, let the supply come to you. Post on message and chat boards that you are searching for original Bobbsey Twins Books. Some people may just donate the books not realizing that they have accrued a value throughout the last century.

3. Go to the library and ask if they are having a sale anytime soon. Libraries replace their stack of books from time to time. This is a great way to buy books cheaply. Check the young adult section to find the Bobbsey Twins books for sale.

4. Contact out of print books stores and sites such as bookfinder.com. They specialize in books that are no longer in print. Tell them you are looking for first edition Bobbsey Twins books and see what they have in their stacks.

5. Peruse auction sites like ebay. Ebay has created new markets for older items. This will be especially helpful when trying to track down some of the older books in the series, which were published at the turn of the 20th century.
