Help bridesmaids look their best with customized makeup.
Wedding party makeup needs to be about versatility. There is not one perfect makeup look for every bridesmaid, so the makeup you choose should be able to adjust to suit multiple needs. Rather than picking a style and color of makeup to go with your bridesmaid dresses, choose a look that can be tweaked to fit a range of styles. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Apply makeup primer to the skin using an applicator sponge. Weddings can go on for a long time, so makeup must be able to endure. Primer helps makeup adhere to the skin so it can last.
2. Cover imperfections using a small foundation brush and concealer to match the wearer's skin tone. Dot foundation onto the blemish and blend it into the surrounding skin using a circular motion.
3. Apply foundation over the entire face, including the eyelids, neck and earlobes, using a large foundation brush. Take care to blend any edges so the foundation blends seamlessly into the skin.
4. Set the foundation and concealer using a powder. Swirl a powder brush into the powder and tap the brush lightly on the edge of the container to remove excess. Lightly dust powder onto the entire face.
5. Dust a golden-toned bronzer on the temples, the tops of the cheeks and the center of the chin using a soft powder brush. Using the same brush, dust a translucent peach for warm-toned skin or light pink shade for cool-toned skin, onto the apples of the cheek.
6. Create a natural eye by applying a neutral shade of eyeshadow over the entire eyelid, from lash to eye socket crease, using a large shadow brush.
7. Dust over the eyelid with a shimmery, natural-looking shade of eyeshadow that works with the wearer's eyes. Champagne, taupe or peach looks great on brown eyes while medium brown, camel or pink work well for blue eyes. For green eyes, look for shades of mauve, purple or any shade of brown.
8. Line the top lash of the eye from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner using a medium brown color. Smudge it lightly using a cotton-tip applicator. Finish the eyes with an application of mascara to the lower and upper lashes.
9. Line the lips using a flesh-colored lip liner. Fill the lips with a bright red shade of lipstick. Blue-based reds look best on skin tones that are fair or rosy. Yellow-based skin tones look best with a red lipstick that has a golden hue. Darker skin looks great with a purple-based red.
