Have Fun At A 40th Birthday Party

You can plan fun activities for a 40th birthday party.

While some people see turning 40 as being "over the hill," others consider it a milestone to celebrate. You can make turning 40 memorable by enjoying a special birthday party. A 40th birthday party should include activities that will entertain the honoree, as well as the guests. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Host a "roast" of sorts. A roast is an event in which people who know the birthday honoree tell funny stories about the person. Televised roasts are often brutal in terms of poking fun at the person. For a 40th birthday party roast, ask your guests to refrain from being too harsh. A good natured roast can be fun for the birthday celebrant as well as for the guests.

2. Purchase or rent a karaoke machine and have your guests display their musical talents.

3. Hire a band or a DJ to entertain the crowd with music. Your guests might enjoy dancing the night away.

4. Host a themed party in which the guests dress to fit the theme. Possible themes include the beach, pirates, disco or a '70s retro party.

5. Place pictures of the birthday honoree on a poster. Use pictures from a variety of ages. Provide paper and pens for your guests to write down the age they think the person was in each picture. Award the person who gets the most guesses correct.
