Assemble Simple Party Favor Bags

Your guests will love simple party favors.

If you're faced with organizing and hosting an upcoming special event, whether it's a child's birthday party, family reunion, wedding or high school graduation, simple party favor bags are a great way to thank all of your guests for coming to celebrate with you. The favors don't have to be elaborate or expensive gifts, either, for your guests to appreciate and use them long after the party's over.

Instructions

1. Purchase enough party favor bags (or boxes) for each of your guests, making sure to buy a few extra just in case. Party favor bags come in all shapes and sizes, from clear cellophane to colorful prints for specific holidays.

2. Fill each favor bag with candies that your guests might enjoy. For a child's birthday party, you could buy packages of fruit snacks (for example, Dora the Explorer if your child's party is Dora-themed). For weddings, Jordan almonds and Hershey's Kisses are popular choices. For Easter, lots of candy options are available, such as jelly beans and mini-chocolate eggs.

3. Add to each favor bag a small, inexpensive token of your appreciation. For a high school graduation, you could bake sugar cookies in the shape of a mortarboard and decorate them in the graduate's school colors. For Valentine's Day, you could purchase tiny stuffed teddy bears for children. For a family reunion, you could buy inexpensive disposable cameras to include in the bags.

4. Consider typing and printing out a favorite recipe to stick inside the favor bags, too. For a "Star Wars"-theme children's birthday party, you could include a recipe for making cutout Death Star cookies. For an anniversary party, you could include one of the couple's favorite recipes to share with everyone.

5. Finally, use curling ribbon (or your favorite ribbon) to tie a bow around the top of the bag to close it.
